Sea Turtle

This was a gift for my daughter. I better deliver it. It was a pleasure to work on this.

Sea Turtle, 10"x7" approximate

Drawn in pen and ink on watercolor paper, painted with Chinese watercolors, topped with prismacolor pencil.

I hope you enjoy it. Let me know.

I really like how you echoed the colors from the grass in the neck area of the turtle. It really pulls it together. :)

Thanks. I try to make sure that the image is tied together. The funny thing is that in real life if we see a, for example, a field of green leaves and there is one red leaf, we accept it. We might not look for another red leaf (or anything red) for balance. However, in a picture it's almost a necessity to add another bit of red because it doesn't feel "right" if it's there by itself.
